Articles of Organization (LLC)
Applies to: Nevada LLCs
Forms your LLC with the NV Secretary of State (NRS 86.151). Filed with a mandatory Initial List + State Business License at formation.
Operating Agreement
Applies to: Nevada LLCs
An operating agreement (ownership %, management, profit split, exit) governs your LLC and is strongly recommended even where not filed with the state.

Articles of Incorporation
Applies to: Nevada corporations
Forms your corporation with the NV Secretary of State.

State Business License — general partnership (NV)
Applies to: Nevada general partnerships
A Nevada general partnership has no entity-formation filing, but it must still obtain a Nevada State Business License (or file a Notice of Exemption) before doing business (NRS 76.100).
The State Business License renews annually; confirm current fee and any exemption with the NV SOS.
Certificate of Limited Partnership (NV)
Applies to: Nevada limited partnerships
To form a Nevada limited partnership you must file a Certificate of Limited Partnership with the Nevada Secretary of State, and obtain the State Business License.
NV also requires a State Business License before doing business; confirm with the NV SOS.
Certificate of Registration — LLP (NV)
Applies to: Nevada LLPs
To be a Nevada LLP, file a Certificate of Registration with the Nevada Secretary of State, and obtain the State Business License.

State Business License + Annual List
Applies to: Nevada LLCs
NV requires a State Business License ($200/yr for an LLC) filed with the Annual List of Managers/Members; due the last day of your anniversary month.
Sales/Use Tax Permit
Applies to: Sellers of tangible goods in NV
Required to sell/lease tangible goods; $15 per location, does not expire (new permit only on change of location/ownership).
Nevada Resale Certificate
Applies to: Buyers reselling goods
Lets you buy inventory tax-free for resale.
Initial/Annual List + State Business License (corporation)
Applies to: Nevada corporations
NV requires an Initial/Annual List of officers/directors plus the State Business License each year. (The State Business License applies to NV entities generally, not just LLCs.)

Nevada Modified Business Tax (payroll)
Applies to: NV employers
NV employers pay the Modified Business Tax on wages (above a quarterly threshold) and register for unemployment insurance.
